I paid for tight knot and did not receive tight knot cedar 2x6s. After emailing the owner of Sound Cedar pictures of cedar boards showing knots over 3 inches he said I should contact the Canadian lumber mill where he bought them. Needless to say, this did not sit well with me and I insisted on replacements. The Sound Cedar owner required I pay a $100 delivery fee, which I was forced to pay IMO, to replace the boards. Ordered a ton of jumbo split rails for fencing project, company clearly expert with cedar products compared to competition, fairly priced, delivered within a week to the San Juans. Even sent extra products without up charge. I couldn't be happier with the product or this company. Class act. Nick quickly helped me with the design, calculated all the necessary materials, including cement, and they held the materials for over a month till I was ready for it to be delivered. Each item was less expensive than a big box stores version of a lesser quality item. After a measurement error on my part (4x4 posts are not 4 inches wide 🤭) they even bought back some of the boards in exchange for longer ones. Every interaction I’ve had has been quick and pleasant, and always comes with a Rice Krispies treat.
